One of the most common questions we get from prospective charter guests and buyers: catamaran or motor yacht? The right answer depends on what you value most on the water.
Stability and Comfort
Catamarans, with their twin-hull design, offer significantly more stability than a monohull motor yacht of similar length — less rocking at anchor, smoother rides in choppier conditions, and generally more comfortable for guests prone to seasickness. This makes vessels like our Maximum 1 and Maximum 2 catamarans a strong choice for families or larger groups less experienced with boats.
Deck Space and Layout
Because of their wider beam, catamarans typically offer more usable deck space relative to their length — more room to move around, sunbathe, or set up dining. Motor yachts, by contrast, tend to prioritise a more traditional, streamlined layout with a stronger emphasis on speed and classic aesthetics, as with our Princess 65.
